Kennedy is a very early BYU commit, and the Cougs I’m sure are throwing a party! This Youngster is a complete shooter! She has really nice size, so she can shoot over a lot of defenders comfortably, with good accuracy. She’s almost automatic on open spot ups. Her size with her passion to win helps her be a really nice rebounder. She isn’t the most athletic in the world, but her insanely high IQ more than makes up for that.
This lefty guard is traveling across the country next year to attend Quinnipiac, and they must feel every mile is worth it. Everything Gal does is with ease, and very smooth. She has a silky left-handed jumper that you feel like is going in every time. She has a variety of breakdown moves waiting for defenders. Despite not being the biggest or strongest, she is very intense and tough, her physical helps raise her game to the next level.
This young lady really made a name for herself, all the way to the finals win broadcasted on ESPN. This long and energetic sophomore just makes play after play, on both ends of the floor. She has a very reliable midrange jump shot that she can find in a variety of ways. She moves so well without the ball and finishes at high speeds at the rim with either hand. She rebounds with the best of them, and contests so many shots.
It’s unbelievably impressive how strong, poised and skilled this kid is as a freshman. Her shoot is very nice, perfect mechanics, smooth release, and efficient. She also showed she can put the ball on the floor and score midrange or finish strong at the rim. She is very willing to stick her nose in the middle and battle for boards, get 50/50’s and make effort plays.
One of the most intense competitors of the weekend, in our mind, a for sure Power 5 player. She was one of the top uncommitted players at the event. Her physicality and athleticism is unmatched. It allows her to rebound with bigger players, who she often outleaps. She is tough to stop betting to the rim, where she finishes off one or two feet very effectively. She has toughness as well after being knocked to the floor on her tailbone, she got back up and sealed the win with several impact plays.
Another East Coaster heading to USC, but this time a big. Very strong and hard working post. She Does really well at getting good post position, fighting for her spots, and demanding the ball. She uses both hands to catch and score, but seems very comfortable with her left hand. She showed some very quick post moves, she definitely knows what to do with the ball when she gets it. Very high mobility and court sense for a player her size.
Campbell got a steal with this one! Olivia is intense and plays with such a high motor! She is an absolute nightmare on the defensive end, whether in the press, or halfcourt. She showed out on the offensive end as well, getting to the rack almost at will, and letting her silky jumper fly at all the right times. She elevated her game and her impact even more in a tight game when her backcourt partner fouled out. Olivia was the sole focus of the defense and she still made enough plays to get the win.
Toby is known for her ability to dunk across WBB platforms. We didn’t see any of those, but her ability to dominate a game was on full display. Her leaping ability to intensity alone makes her a killer on the boards, regularly elevating far above any other rebounder. Her rebound radius is out of this world, and she doesn’t give up on many boards or lose balls. She is also very tough to stop going to the basket, another product of her size, strength and athleticism. Her game is not based purely on those things though, she is very skilled and the Duke Blue Devils can’t wait to get her on campus!
Guard with a nice combination of power and speed. She’s tough to stop on straight-line drives, especially when she gets a step. Impressed with how unselfish she is. She certainly has the ability to take over games, but she doesn’t force much so that means less turnovers and bad possessions for her team.
Really like her combination of post presence and perimeter ability. She is very strong and physical, and will make defenders pay for challenging her. She also gets out and runs, she uses the same intensity to get up and down the floor, get after 50/50 balls and defend. She truly gives her all the entire game. She has really nice size and strength, and with her diversity she isn’t stuck just roaming the paint.
