(14U) North Tartan Storms Back, Stuns All Iowa Attack

In the Championship Sunday matinee All Iowa Attack brought the heat, early and often! The talented trio of Sadie McCann, Bentley Dill and Addie McLaughlin has the AIA offense scoring early and often! The premier PG, Bentley, who will be seeing more of over the years, had the squad running like a well oiled machine!

Iowa had a commanding 38-24 lead when the check engine light came on, and the Tartan ladies showed no regard for that lead. The biggest was Lauren Robison who did her best Caitlin Clark imitation to lead the unlikely comeback.

Robison connected on four from behind the arc, just in the second half alone, and not a one of them was inside the college arc. Her confidence, along with some nice production from Amelia Mills, took all the wind out of the AIA sails, and they never looked back. The 34-9 barrage proved to be too much for Iowa as they led by McCann and Dill’s 14 points.

Robison finished with 17 and Mills added 14 to what proved to be a much needed 58-49 win to get North Tartan started well on Championship Sunday!

(15U) AIA EYBL Completes Comeback, Payback Over North Tartan EYBL

With a very fresh taste of disappointment in their gut, the All Iowa Attack 2027 ladies made it right the next chance they got. Turnabout is fair play, even in hoops. In what was the second installment of the EYBL rivals on Championship Sunday, this one also did not disappoint!

North Tartan jumped out to a 24-16 lead with some well spread production, led by Jordan Christofferson. They built on that lead early into the second when things started to turn. Down 30-18, AIA put the clamps down and held North Tartan to 8 points the rest of the way.

Chloe Johnson came alive in the second half to lead the comeback, along with Katie Muller who led them through the first half. Both girls had a team high 12 points, but it was Kinley Larson who put the nail in the coffin this time.

With time winding down, and no timeouts left, Larson shot faked, drove middle and pulled up around the elbow and knocked down her one and only shot of the game to give the AIA the 40-38 lead, and despite a decent shot at the buzzer, the game winner!

(16U) Sanford Sports Outlasts North Tartan EYBL

After a highly contested half, Sanford Sports pulled away and shut the door on the hosts North Tartan. Guard Addison Neuendorf got Sanford going early with a trio of deep jumpers, and nine of her 14 points in the game.

After a 27-20 halftime deficit, North Tartan cut it back to three, but thats when top 2026 recruit Ashlyn Koupal said enough was enough! She started the stretch run with a three ball, and finished it imposing her will around the basket and on some slips to the basket. She finished with a game high 20, but she also took all the air out of the North Tarten sales as they had no answer for her.

Maggie Fricke stepped up with 12, and Kate Amelotte added 10, but they just couldn’t keep Koupal from closing the game to give the Sanford ladies the 16U bracket win 59-47.

(17U) North Tartan EYBL Survives MN Fury UAA

The host North Tartan ladies led from start to finish but they had to withstand a late push from fellow Minnesota foe, the MN Fury. Sophia Hawkinson and Jordan Ode did everything they could to keep the Fury in the game, while each scoring 13.

The Fury guarded North Tartan sensation Maddyn Greenway as well as anyone could wish too, and frustrated her the entire game. That slowed North Tarten down but didnt stop them! Fellow backcourt mates Maryland commit Rainey Welson and South Dakota commit Tori Schlagel stepped up as always and helped the squad take a commanding 36-26 lead into half.

The halftime lead was aided by 2026 Mya Moore’s heady three pointer off a loose ball at the buzzer. Mya, along with Megan Johnson combined for 21 timely points off the bench.

Despite the late dramatics that seen the Fury pull within 3, but never with the ball, the ladies from North Tartan strung together enough plays and win t69-64, their second bracket final of the day at Shakopee HS.
