Always 100 3SSB Slows Phee Elite E40 in Final
On this championship Saturday Always 100 Elite 3SSB came on out on fire to start the game. They were led by their premier guard Hallie Schwieterman scoring in multiple ways on her way to a team high 16 points.
Phee Elite Brumley E40 came out sluggish to begin the game and didn’t look like their normal selves at all. They struggled to rebound the ball on defense which led to a ton of second-chance points for Always 100 Elite 3SSB.
Always 100 led comfortably at half 34-22
Phee’s lead guard Amaya Manuel didn’t go down without a fight as she got some of her swag back in the second half. She got the basket and the foul line more and started getting her teammates involved. They pushed until the lead got back to single digits.
Despite Phee roaring back and cutting into the lead with a late 8-2 run, Always 100 extended it back to double digits with their bread and butter, the three point shot.
Both teams played tough and physical defense as players dove for loose balls and fought for every rebound. Always 100’s guard play was the difference as they made big shot after big shot to close the game 56-49.
Courtney Mathew added 11 for Always 100 and Madison McKee threw in 10 for the 15U Aqua division Platinum Champions.
